SCULPTURES WITH COLOR
Michaella's creative outburst, imprinted on the scultpures which are exhibited at her third exhibition, proves that her laborious work with clay alongside with her human psyche have discovered deposits rich in precious materials. Her work manifests with intensity the warmth of the explorer of mental states, who looks for them in every hidden corner of the human esoteric world. She pulls to the surface with great tenderness and love, her fragile findings, to see the light of day. The emotional treasure that the sculptor embodies with her art comes from earlier times. The faces, the postures, the clothes, in broader terms the whole atmosphere of the shapes she has created, exude a lost world. When time passed at a much slower rate, while the source emotion was hidden less behind social conventionality. We realise that Michaella's obsession with a past and forever gone epoch, with its attitudes and perceptions, seeks in the end to suggest the absence of authentic communication in contemporary life. The “crazy rhythm's”, the extreme competitiveness, the
imperative of the “flawless” image, lead fatally to painful alienation. Successive layers of superficial rules of conduct, as shell, tighten the expressions of emotional needs, which constitute the foundation of the sport called relationship. As of that, the reminder of the “lost time”, within the feast of emotions and shapes, causes to the beholder an esoteric revelation. The “conversation” with the authenticity of the created “face” awakens effortlessly burried psychological impulses and liberates the beholder, even momentarily, from artificial normalcy.
